About the venture
Acuity-Reliable LLC is a joint venture between Acuity, Inc. and Reliable Cloud Services LLC, formed under the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Mentor-Protégé Program.
Federal buyers with a small-business goal to meet are routinely asked to make a trade. Choose a small business and accept a thinner delivery record; choose an established integrator and lose the socioeconomic credit. Neither answer is satisfying, and both carry risk.
This venture removes the trade. It competes as an 8(a) small business, and it delivers with the process discipline, certifications and federal experience of a firm that has been doing this since 2002.
The SBA Mentor-Protégé Program lets an established firm formally develop a small business, and lets the two bid together as a small business. The arrangement is approved and governed by the SBA under 13 C.F.R. §125.9.
Mentor
Founded in 2002 and an SBA 8(a) graduate, Acuity provides IT consulting to federal agencies supporting the national security and public safety mission. It has served eleven of the fifteen cabinet-level agencies, and maintains its certifications through a dedicated corporate performance office.
Protégé · Managing venturer
An SBA 8(a) certified Small Disadvantaged Business with deep institutional knowledge across the Department of Homeland Security, holding seven concurrent contracts across USCIS, HSI and TSA in security automation, application modernization and compliance frameworks.
Its teams engineer enterprise DevSecOps toolchains, deploy enterprise container platforms and Kubernetes with autoscaling, stand up MLOps pipelines, and enable Continuous ATO with RMF-aligned automated evidence collection. They have designed enterprise governance frameworks giving real-time security posture visibility across hundreds of applications, and authored IT modernization roadmaps for federal leadership.
